St Mary's, Reigate: dais
This kind of timber dais is typical of late 20th / early 21st century church reorderings, giving a large raised area for musicians, preachers and other leaders. This example, along with the replacement of pews with chairs, is from the 2011 reordering by Russell Hanslip
St Mary Magdalene church, Reigate

The Anglican parish church of Reigate, parts of which date back to c.1200 although there would have been earlier church buildings on the site. It was restored internally by Woodyer in 1845 and by George Gilbert Scott junior in 1874-77, and most recently reordered in 2011-12 by HMDW Architects.

Notable for the medieval rood screen (said to be the last surviving example in Surrey) and for housing the first public lending library in England. It is still very much in use, with a congregation numbering several hundred.

It is listed grade 2* and the very detailed list description can be found at LinkExternal link
