Cottage at Dyke, near Bourne, Lincolnshire
A pair of old stone cottages in the main street at Dyke were restored by agricultural contractor William Walpole (1843-1907) who turned them into a new house with a red brick frontage and date stone bearing his initials and the year 1896 together with a reminder of his work with steam traction engines.
