Ockley Station
On the Dorking North - Horsham line. The view is in the 'down' direction, toward Horsham.
According to Dendy Marshall's 'History of the Southern Railway', the station was opened in 1867 as 'Ockley'. However, some old railway maps show it as 'Ockley for Capel', and I seem to remember tickets being issued for 'Ockley and Capel' in the 1960's. In any case, the station is nearer to Capel than it is to Ockley.
The railway company at the time of opening in 1867 would have been the London, Brighton & South Coast.
