This large rock at the top of a precipitous slope stands at the south-west corner of Shaftoe Crags. The Piper's Chair lies immediately behind the rock. Scratch marks on the side of the rock mark the hazardous way up on to the top surface where the Devil's Punchbowl, an artificially enlarged hollow, is situated.
