Piper's Chair and the Devil's Punchbowl
Piper's Chair and the Devil's Punchbowl
This large rock at the top of a precipitous slope stands at the south-west corner of Shaftoe Crags. The Piper's Chair lies immediately behind the rock. It is a hazardous climb up on to the top surface where the Devil's Punchbowl, an artificially enlarged hollow, is situated.
