SD6080 : Underley Park Bridge

taken 10 years ago, near to Kearstwick, Cumbria, England

Underley Park Bridge
Underley Park Bridge
Grade II Listed - this substantial high arched bridge spanning the River Lune gives access from Underley Park to Barbon.
If you are walking in the area, it is highly tempting to make use of this bridge as the ford a half kilometre to the north is inadvisable to all but the mightiest of hikers. The structure is private, and signs have been erected specifically to deter walkers - which seems rather petty.
