Look into any old guide book and this is Mill Gill and not Stickle Ghyll. Even Wainwright says it's Mill Gill along with the old Bartholomew's maps. But in their wisdom the Ordnance Survey has chosen to rename it Stickle Ghyll which the National Trust has followed in their signposting.
