Signs of past events at the former Barr Beacon Quarry
Erosion of the overlying Kidderminster Conglomerate, top, has sent a slew of Bunter pebbles down the slope, lower right. A chunk of the Bridgnorth Sandstone, aka Hopwas Breccia, has fallen but has been caught by the steel railings, right. In the foreground are the stumps of trees and bushes cleared by volunteers from the Black Country Geological Society to maintain the view of the exposure.
