I know a Botanist who claimed Meadowland did not exist
he may be right Botanically,
but I always thought it was this: grassland on a flat low river edge or such, with spring and summer short stem flowering plants, as shown above.

Thus dispel the mythology about fertilizers as IH did about East England blooms in rivers. There is a lot of propaganda about claiming cause generated from little researched and understood material generated from fact given by somebody else. Nitrate fertilizers are only a problem if loaded in great masses and then it rains before the soil exchanges take place and fix the nitrates and change their nature.
