SJ9964 : Sweeping views from Roach End

taken 10 years ago, near to Burntcliff Top, Cheshire East, England

Sweeping views from Roach End
Sweeping views from Roach End
The lane descends into the valley of Blackbrook and the tautologically named Forest Wood. The striking hill in the background is Shuttingsloe, a landmark for much of eastern Cheshire. Roach End is a particularly good place to laze on a warm summer day as, apart from its extensive views there is usually an ice-cream van parked there.
