Lightly iced pool
Lightly iced pool
The pool is on the watershed ridge between the West and East Allendales. The distant high point is Brownley Hill, apparently a part of Kevelin Moor. The white, plastic pipe beyond the pool is a marker placed by the local gamekeepers showing the location of a tray where grit is placed for grouse to consume.
