10-16 Grey Street, NE1
Here, just north of Mosley Street, Dobson's range of buildings breaks up into a hodge-podge of contrasting replacements of different periods.
No. 10 (right) has a single grand doorway and a staircase pushed through from 21 Mosley Street in 1908 to give it a fashionable Grey Street address; the building is not listed.
Nos.12-16 were built c 1879 by Johnson and Hicks for an insurance company: pale terracotta frontage with arcaded ground floor and double bays on the upper floors topped by a balustrade. There is nothing like this in Grey Street (and little elsewhere in Newcastle). The building is Grade II listed Link
