Lune West Bridge under construction
The piers and abutment at the south end of the bridge are now ready for the bridge beams.
Here, individual beams have been delivered from Cleveland Bridge UK and assembled to form a double beam module before being lifted into position.
Presumably, this module will form the span for one carriageway between the abutment and two of the southern columns. This will require lifting and rotating about 90 degrees, with limited horizontal movement, to reach its final position.
