Built 1835 by John Dobson for Richard Grainger. This front follows the pattern of that in Grainger Street, except that on the central pavilion in Grainger Street there are giant fluted Corinthian pilasters NZ2464 : East front of Grainger Market, 95-137 Grainger Street, NE1. The central pavilion in Clayton Street is shown in NZ2464 : The Black Garter, Clayton Street, NE1. The buildings are Grade I listed LinkExternal link .
