Built c 1837, probably by John Wardle, for Richard Grainger. Northwards from Newgate Street, the building consists of seven bays that are projected forward of the following nine. The upper floors have been reduced to facades to accommodate an extension of the Eldon Square centre. The buildings are Grade II listed LinkExternal link .
