36-92 Clayton Street, NE1 (part) (3)
Built c 1837, probably by John Wardle, for Richard Grainger. The west side of Clayton Street between Newgate Street and Fenkle Street consists of 28 3-bay houses: (from north to south) a six-bay wing, a nine-bay link, and a six-bay pavilion, after which the rest of the houses are built in a continuous terrace, with slight changes in level and direction as the street falls gently to the south. The photo shows that part of the terrace opposite Falconar's Court. The buildings further to the north are shown in NZ2464 : 36-92 Clayton Street, NE1 (part) and NZ2464 : 36-92 Clayton Street, NE1 (part) (2). The buildings are Grade II listed Link
