Bournemouth's new Hilton Hotel under construction

This new Hilton hotel in Terrace Road was scheduled for completion during the winter of 2015, but even the latest scheduled completion date of the summer of 2015 now looks highly optimistic.

Designed by Cube in association with White Ink Architects, it consists of a 13-storey 172-bedroom 4-star full brand Hilton Hotel, with 14 exclusive residential apartments above. Below this will be an underground car park and associated landscaping. Work commenced on clearing the site last year, and construction work began in earnest in June 2014 seen here in Chris Downer's photo:
