Built c 1837, probably by John Wardle, for Richard Grainger. This section of Clayton Street, on the west side between Westgate Road and Fenkle Street, is the plainest of all Grainger's terraces: there is a prominent cornice, but not even a band between the second and third floors as on the terrace to the north of Finkle Street NZ2464 : 36-92 Clayton Street, NE1 (part) (4). The buildings are Grade II listed LinkExternal link .
