Polyphant Bridge
Polyphant Bridge
The lane from Polyphant approaches Hicks Mill, with a causeway across the River Inny valley. The bridge, described as an ancient monument at LinkExternal link and a listed structure at LinkExternal link , is also shown in SX2682 : Polyphant Bridge over River Inny. The river is divided here by an island. "Polyphant Bridge carried the main road from Launceston to Bodmin until a detour was made via 'Two Bridges' in the early C19" LinkExternal link .
