taken 10 years ago, near to Harwood, County Durham, England

Signs of mining activity
Signs of mining activity
A fenced off shaft and small spoil tip to the left indicate mining activity here by Harwood Beck. Almost certainly a lead mine, but one would suspect that not much was found due to the small size of the tailings.
