View from St John's Beacon towards the Pierhead
The Radio City viewing gallery at St Johnís Beacon provides excellent panoramic views of the city and beyond (LinkExternal link Radio City).

In this view towards the Mersey and Pierhead, the most obvious landmark is the Port of Liverpool Building with its distinctive dome; a grade II* listed building (English Heritage Building ID: 214149 LinkExternal link British Listed Buildings) dating from 1907. The large tower building in front of that is the George's Dock Ventilation and Central Station of the Mersey Road Tunnel, a Portland tower built 1924-32 as part of the Mersey Road Tunnel. It is grade II-listed (English Heritage Building ID: 214148 LinkExternal link British Listed Buildings).
