This bronze drum-shaped monument to the victims of the Hillsborough tragedy Link
was unveiled on 14 April 2013, the eve of the 24th anniversary of the disaster.
The eight foot wide and seven foot tall structure created by Liverpool sculptor Tom Murphy, is on Old Haymarket next to St John’s Gardens. It features the words "Hillsborough Disaster - we will remember them", along with the names of all 96 Liverpool FC supporters who died on the Leppings Lane terraces at the Hillsborough football stadium in Sheffield.
