Bridge Abutment
Bridge Abutment
Lurking on the wooded side of the Esk, this is the site of a former bridge linking the Glaisdale Iron Works to the old mine across the road. Glaisdale Ironstone Mine worked from 1864 until 1881 when the old furnaces were pulled down. The bridge must have been removed around the same time.
