Old cruck built farmhouse that has fallen into complete disrepair. Above the doorway is an inscribed stone that reads "1680 TT TT". This was about the time the Manor was changing hands and it is possible that a yeoman farmer decided to build his own farmhouse. Lealholmside is now seen as a satellite settlement to Lealholm in the valley bottom, but there is evidence that this hamlet has been the site of an important hall since at least 1301AD when it was granted to a knight, Robert de Lealholm.
Lealholm is Old English for the settlement next to the willow trees.
