The Cote de Chevin was a popular place for spectators of the first Tour de Yorkshire.
Tour de Yorkshire Cote de Chevin (East Chevin Road)

The Cote de Chevin (known as East Chevin Road for the rest of the year) was the final mountain stage of the Tour de Yorkshire. It gains 153m, with an average grade of 8.4% and a maximum grade of 16.1% . My position by the road was just beyond the "King of the Mountain" marker near the summit where the road flattened out before the riders turned into Bramhope Old Lane. Later I moved to the junction of East Chevin Road and Bramhope Old Lane as the stragglers passed.
In interviews on TV, several riders commented on the very short steep climbs on Stage 3 of the Tour de Yorkshire, a feature which is not found on most races where the mountain sections are longer but not so steep.

Tour de Yorkshire 2015

The Tour de Yorkshire is a three day stage race, which begins in Bridlington on 1 May 2015.
It is seen as rewarding Yorkshire for the splendid hosting of the first two stages of the previous year's Tour de France - visiting areas not featured in that race.
Some of the world's best riders including 2012 Tour de France winner Sir Bradley Wiggins will be taking part.
Much of the route is marked with yellow and blue bicycles and bunting, displayed on lamp posts, trees, houses and businesses along the way (and also places not on the actual route).
