The first stage of the Tour de Yorkshire cycling event, Bridlington to Scarborough, cut through Rosedale on 1st May 2015. Riders had to tackle the climb, ‘Cote de Rosedale Abbey’ which is over 2.8km. This was the longest ascent of the day with an incline of 7%.
