Ruddington: once a main line to London
Ruddington: once a main line to London
This was once the main line from Nottingham Victoria to London Marylebone, via Leicester Central. It is now used by the Great Central Railway Nottingham, a heritage railway based at the former Ruddington Ordnance Depot. Trains entering and leaving the Heritage Centre terminus reverse here - see Alan Murray-Rust's SK5632 : View from the footbridge. Asher Lane bridge is in the distance.
