See J4477 : Tree disease sign, Cairn Wood, Craigantlet (February 2015). There has been widespread felling and thinning of trees in Ballysallagh Forest and the nearby Cairn Wood. This general area is on the eastern side of the Ballymoney Road and previously included J4377 : Path, Ballysallagh forest, Craigantlet and J4377 : Cuckoo spittle, Ballysallagh forest, Craigantlet.

Ballysallagh forest (approximately 430 acres) is probably the dominant feature of the hills around Craigantlet. Owned by NI Water but managed by the Forest Service. It is mostly conifers with a small amount of deciduous woodland.

The Ballymoney Road, near Bangor :: J4480

The Ballymoney Road runs from Ballygrainey, on the Bangor-Belfast road to Craigantlet on the back road to Belfast, through prime undulating farmland.
