Molten iron was tapped from the bottom of the furnace.

Charcoal fired blast furnace built c1700 and blown out c1780. Annual cast iron production was 200-600 tons per annum with a highest of 763 tons in 1749-50. It was water powered with a wheel to drive the bellows.
