Downham Village Hall
Originally built ca1815 as a Wesleyan Chapel, this building on Pendle Road was converted, with alterations and additions, to the village hall in the late 1950s. It is a grade II listed building (English Heritage Building ID: 183349 LinkExternal link British Listed Buildings).

This photograph was taken on the day of the 2015 general election and the hall is in use as a polling station.

The UK General Election 2015 was held on 7th May.

The election was won outright by the Conservative party with David Cameron as Prime Minister. The Conservatives won with a majority, having taken 331 of the 650 parliamentary seats.

Labour 9.34m votes, 232 seats
UK Independence Party 3.88m votes, 1 seat
Liberal Democrats 2.41m votes, 8 seats
