41-51 High Bridge, NE1
Built in 1901-02 as shops and offices; served for a time as an extension for the Turks Head Hotel in Grey Street - see NZ2464 : The former Turk's Head Inn, Grey Street, NE1 and NZ2464 : 55-73 Grey Street, NE1. Built in the free Baroque style of the time, and on an irregular site which resulted in the door being off-centre; all the windows are paired, with stubby columns on the second floor, except for the end bays which have decorative surrounds and carved scroll ornaments.
