NT0063 : Three of the Five Sisters

taken 9 years ago, near to West Calder, West Lothian, Scotland

Three of the Five Sisters
Three of the Five Sisters
Seen from the Breich path - too close to get them all in. Iconic remnants of the oil shale industry of West Lothian. Note the colonisation by trees and shrubs in more stable areas - the tops and valleys between, but not much on the very steep slopes. For an aerial view, see NT0063 : Freeport Village from the air.
