The 'Wye Invader', River Wye
A rather unusual sight on the banks of the River Wye a mile or so downstream from Hereford is this 150ft Dutch Barge. The barge was somehow brought up the river in 1990, the aim was to moor it in Hereford as a floating restaurant.
I understand this barge was taken back down the River Wye in the autumn of 2012 with the objective of placing it in dry dock on the Severn.
