St Mary Magdalene Primary School, North Greenwich
St Mary Magdalene Primary School, North Greenwich
This Church of England school opened in 2015 with just a reception class in this temporary building on the north side of Millennium Way, but it was intended that within a few years (subject to planning permission) there would be a large school complex for primary, secondary and post-16 education. The school is in a federation with the existing Christ Church school nearby and with St Mary Magdalene school in Woolwich.

The establishment of a school so close to the A102 - one of the worst spots in the UK for air pollution - is in direct contravention of recent government guidelines that schools should not be built in pollution hotspots. One wonders why the local council allowed it.
