Blenheim House, Westgate Road, NE1
Built 1919, by Cackett and Burns Dick for the Robert Sinclair Tobacco Co. Ltd - see NZ2464 : Ghost sign on Blenheim House, Westgate Road, NE1. It was an addition to a slightly earlier warehouse. It's built in white Portland stone - the lower two floors with pronounced joints - massive three-storey square columns, and a heavy cornice above the fifth floor topped with five square dormers. The style is vaguely Egyptian, with stylised acanthus leaves at the top of the columns and decorative metal panels between them. The building was converted into flats in the late 1980s.

The Buildings of Grainger Town - No.170. See NZ2464 : The Earl Grey Monument, Grey Street, NE1.
