House Carpenters Hall, 100-108 Westgate Road, NE1
Built 1805-12 for the Company of House Carpenters. The current garishness of the late 19th C shop fronts affects the underlying symmetry of the building. The side wings are each of two bays, and the grand, central section has five bays, three of which are covered by a pediment that carries the arms of the House Carpenters carved in stone NZ2464 : House Carpenters Hall, 100-108 Westgate Road, NE1 - coat of arms. Unfortunately, the old sash windows have been replaced with a variety of inappropriate modern windows. The building is Grade II listed Link
