Below it is a terracotta bas relief tablet depicting Queen Victoria on the occasion of her Diamond Jubilee.
The wording on the tablet is
VICTORIA 60 YEARS QUEEN OF GREAT BRITAIN & IRELAND EMPRESS OF INDIA
Around the edges are the names of what were in 1897 British colonies, including
Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Burmah (so spelt). Both Africa and Egypt are shown.
