Speedwell Lawn
Speedwell Lawn
Many people regard the common speedwell as a weed, and seek to eradicate it from their lawns. I have no idea why. The flush of tiny blue flowers is one of the cheeriest things that can happen to the eternal greensward of a housing estate. it rather looks like this chap agrees with me, I can only hope so.

This is most likely to be the Slender Speedwell, Veronica filiformis, which is the most common of the lawn speedwells.
