Old lane junction near Lockington
Old lane junction near Lockington
The lane to the left used to connect Lockington to Diseworth but was cut when the airport was built. Church or Dark Lane used to be the main route connecting Lockington to Hemington but diminished in importance after Hemington Lane was built in the 19th century. Both lanes are now reduced to bridleways.
