The Church of St Peter, Chillingham
Saint Peter's occupies the site of a 12th Century church. The interior is an unusual mixture of old and new. As well as ancient stone work, 19th century boxed pews, the sanctuary was completely refurbished in 1967, and a millennium plaque recognises that Christian worship has been offered on this site for over a thousand years.
