Modern day view of TQ2804 : George Street, Hove. In the photo the old flint school building has been replaced by the tan-bricked Music Zone buildings whilst the old Tesco supermarket has become a Wetherspoon, the corner of which is on the left. The big change is the pedestrianisation of the street which occurred in the early 1990s to much opposition by the local traders. The alleyway on the left leads to the new Tesco store built on the site of the old gasworks.
