The site of Hetherington's Private Dining Rooms
This was the site of Hetherington's Private Dining Rooms
SJ8598 : Derelict building on Pollard Street, the last surviving Victorian building in the area. Located on the oddly named Boond Street (with two "o"s) it had been gradually decaying for the last 15 years.
Boond Street (note the "No through road" sign) has been reduced to a footpath leading to the New Islington tram stop. In the background are the "Chips" apartments (on the other side of the canal) and "Milliner's Wharf". Work has now begun on the phase 2 development at Milliner's Wharf and the site of the Dining Rooms is being used as the builder's depot.
