Lincoln Barons' Charter Trail

800 years ago in June 1215, Magna Carta was sealed by King John in the presence of 25 Barons at Runnymede and Lincoln has one of four copies of ‘The Great Charter’. As part of the 800th anniversary celebrations, the Lincoln Barons Charter Trail LinkExternal link presents sculptures by Chris Wilkinson in the style of a Lewis chess piece, decorated by local artists and sponsored by local businesses. The trail passes through the heart of historic Lincoln where the 25 Lincolnshire-themed colourful sculptures are sited at significant locations for three months from June 13th to September 13th 2015 before being auctioned on behalf of The Trussell Trust LinkExternal link
