Old and new culverts
Old and new culverts
The one on the left has been recently laid to take highway drainage and the discharge from a rivulet that previously went through the older culvert on the left. Water discharges into the North Calder about 150m south of here. See also NS6963 : Bredisholm, culvert, NS6963 : A bonnie wee burn and NS6963 : Bonnie Burn Cascade for scenes of the watercourse that has now been obliterated by massive earthworks connected to the new line of the M8 motorway.
