Between the former almshouses and the railway line are a series of garden rooms recreating town garden taste over the last 400 years.
Gardens around 1550-1620 often had useful herbs and vegetables close to the house.
Open Garden Squares Weekend, London
On a weekend in June each year over 200 garden squares and other gardens are open to the public. The event is organised by London Parks and Gardens Trust.
