Stirling railway station

The Category A Listed station building LinkExternal link was constructed in 1915 to a design by the renowned Scottish railway architect James Miller LinkExternal link . Much of the Miller style remains today, especially in the curved layout of the stairs and the curved news stands which were designed to enable smooth pedestrian traffic flow.

There are nine platforms at the station, which are numbered 2 to 10 as Platform 1 is now a car park. There are two pairs of bay platforms, one pair to the north and one to the south. The other remaining platforms are all through platforms.

Services from the station run to Perth, Inverness and Aberdeen to the north, Glasgow to the south and Alloa and Edinburgh to the east. The Caledonian Sleeper and Virgin Trains East Coast provide direct links to London.
