Midsummer twilight in the Ochils
The image is taken just before 11pm looking westwards from the summit of Dumyat. In the typical twilight of the summer evening there is still enough illumination to walk easily in the hills although the streetlights are on in the populated areas of Bridge of Allan and the north of Stirling visible towards the left of the image.
Also visible in the left of the image the Wallace monument is illuminated. On this night, the lights for that were turned off at 11pm.
After an afternoon and evening of intermittently heavy rain on an otherwise hot day the damp air was condensing into waves of cloud which were drifting over the hill tops.
