Berwick-upon-Tweed lighthouse
At the end of the breakwater. Its construction was directed by George Nelson and began in 1826. It is 44ft [13.4m] high, and the conical roof is a single piece of stone. It was repainted in 2011[?] by Iain Grieve, a local decorator, who use more than 20 gallons [c. 91 litres] of paint. The ship standing off is the Netherlands-registered general cargo vessel 'Zeeland', waiting for the tide before docking at Tweedmouth NT9952 : Zeeland entering Tweedmouth Dock.
