Women scullers have given the pleasure cruiser "The Trent Lady" a wide berth. Now Lady Bay Bridge and one of the road approaches to the city, the girder bridge was built by the Midland Railway in 1878 and carried St Pancras expresses via Melton and Kettering until the 1960s.
