Now almost entirely engulfed by ivy, an outline view of this five storey tower is now all that can be seen. There are vaults over the second and fourth storeys, whilst the third storey has a fireplace and a two-light window on the north side, and a latrine on the south. The entrance is on the east side with stairs rising from it that continue on the south to the upper levels. The Grants forfeited the castle in the 1650s, and it was then granted to the Jacksons, and afterwards to the Boyces.
